tonight i have to leave it.

so one week has passed since law camp ended and work has been a bitch.
the only consolation each day is that one hour during lunchtime where i can stop pretending i'm doing work.
i realise this week has been so uneventful and boring i'm having trouble recalling what i did this past week. ok here goes, monday was spent catching fantastic four after work and i was seriously bored out of my wits by the show. sadly, alba wasn't even that hot in the show. thank goodness for the human torch and mister fantastic.

tuesday was shopping at gap with charlene, then poker at kt's place, with all of us fooling around with ian's new specs.

wednesday was og outing at marina bay for steamboat.

thursday was catching up time with dinolau, where she proceeded to send me home in her extremely retro car. i had a field day pressing the footbrake on the passenger side of the car (don't ask me why her car is built like a driving centre car).

CASSETTE player ok, we're talking state of the art technology. don't play play.

finally, friday was spent waking up late, going to silver cross to get an mc, going to school to watch rag practice, then heading over to vishal's place for his house party.

bandstand in the sky.

ok 4 gruelling days of law camp are finally over! and it was, dare i say it, actually kinda fun. although we slept minimal hours and had to do all the stupid menial tasks to make sure everything was run right, and also i never knew so much work went into secret pals. looks are truly deceiving. but at least there was good company, late night mj/drinking sessions and supper every night to make it all so much more bearable. and making fun of the year1s was really surprisingly more fun than expected:)

phototime! i'm too lazy to upload it pic by pic so i shall try to organise this properly.

day 1: registration/icebreakers/land tele/night court

day 2: secret pals/jungle trek

day 3: universal studios (plus some pics from formal dinner on day 4)

day 4: formal dinner/dbl o/mos/fong seng

boston.

week one of internship has finally come to an end.
never been so happy to survive till 530pm on a friday before. doing mundane work really kills all your brain cells. but at least there's internet in the office so i get to online shop, facebook and msn. i think i've prob spent more than i've earned this week. hurhur.

so popped by zouk for a short while on wed. weimin just got back from uk and he had been bugging all of us to go for mambo so i decided to be a good friend and drop by. but because of work early the next day i couldn't actually go in. plus the fact i overslept and was quite late in reaching, had to return the car by 130, and had no patience to queue to get in. hahah ok maybe i'm not such a good friend after all.

pics from that night are damn dark cos i bought this cover for my phone cos i always drop it in clubs and it was covering the cam's sensor or smth.

and finally, proof that pissing addy off will do you no good (and yes that is a REAL lighter and a REAL flame).

on a sidenote, we will be appearing in fhm! aug issue prob.
we were sitting at winebar and some photog for fhm asked us if she could take a pic of us with our jugs. cos apparently the jugs at zouk cost $42 and guess how old our country is turning come aug 9th?
at least we're all gonna be fhm girls now. HAHAH.

in the crossfire.

ok more pics from the night at dbl o, this time depicting the aftermath.
no names will be mentioned to protect the dignity of certain individuals, and to those involved, at least i'm not tagging you on facebook! hahah.

you can always trust rz to get her priorities straight.

and so today's episode is brought to you by the letter R,
as in R for Realisation and for Relief.
and for Redemption.

and also by the concept of time, which changes everything.
even if its just the nuances.

and finally, little children, it could be that you don't have to want F or K, as long as you know you don't want P or Z.

bright lights

so yesterday was dbl o where the drinks are incredibly cheap.
i'm still quite shocked that we're conned into paying $40+ a jug at zouk while dbl o's jugs are going for $13 each. and they're so much more potent too, last night's aftermath being testament to that.

and as usual, the photowhoring begins.

work officially starts tmr. so as of next wk, no more mambos on weds :( but nevermind i must look at the bigger pic, work = money = good! ok off to enjoy my last few mins of unemployment. hahah.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDYYYYY!!!:):)

last night was spent at st james celebrating addy's 20th.
first time in at st james and it was really quite nice and spacious with good music.
plenty of drinks as well and we left the club with less ppl then when we came because some left early after deciding they'd had enough merlioning.
overall, it was all good fun and at least at the end, addy and i now have matching marks to remember the night by. hurhur.

first things first, the birthday girl being her usual charming self.
i duno how all the girls can keep their hands off her. even for me, everyday is a struggle.

i'm too lazy to upload all the pics from the night. but how can i forget a quintessential photo of my fav photo-taking face.

days have been spent in the same old ways. mj and kent ridge mostly.
monday was mj at nich's place with eugene, dennis and nich. and just to show that i am clearly obsessed with mj, a photo of the last win of the night (by me! :D).

ok it might seem like no big deal, but i was bei feng bei. so i was alr man tai even without the 2 animals. and it was my second zi mo man tai of the one round that we played! :D

lastly, i don't know if it was the alcohol that started the mending of bridges. but even if it was, i'm still very thankful. and i'm glad for it all:)
wow what an extremely long post. ok enough, off to watch the office!

pioneers.

if it can be broke, then it can be fixed.
if it can be fused, then it can be split.
if it can be lost, then it can be won.
if it can be touched, then it can be turned.

recently i've been thinking how when we were young we're practically encouraged to make mistakes. cos making mistakes mean we'll learn from the pain and we'll grow smarter and stronger. and we will know never to repeat the same act again. or so they say. but does the luxury to make mistakes ever end? will we ever get too old to be making certain mistakes, or to be repeating the same mistakes? hahah ok random thoughts.

watching disasters unfold have always, for lack of a better word, captivated me. although other people's pain and suffering don't particularly appeal to me, theres just something that makes it so hard to tear my eyes away. maybe the fascination lies in the unravelling. i wonder if it applies to strangers as well.
