so the day has finally ended.although my 20th wasn't exactly the best birthday i've ever had,
what with it being spent in school and all, i still had fun.

the day was then made loads better by a much-needed appearance by escapes (plus one honorary member).

addy told me today that her dad taught her a way of seeing if you have good gambler's luck. apparently you're supposed to count the number of strokes in your chinese name, excluding surname, and the number you get should not contain a 0 or is near a number that contains a 0.mine came up to 29 strokes and apparently since it can't get any nearer to 30, it will explain why i keep losing in mahjong (bloody shit. another thing i can blame my mother for.)

lessons i learnt today:- one should always turn up in pe tee and shorts when coming back to school on a public holiday.
- leather sofas are poor conductors of heat.
- surviving 8 hrs without ventilation is a task we all can achieve. clearly, impossible is nothing.
